On May 24, 2024, a meeting of the international online seminar "Artificial Societies and Information Technologies" was held, dedicated to the report of Quan Bai (University of Tasmania).

Speech topic: Influence diffusion modelling and simulation: probabilistic-based, agent-based and LLM-based approaches

Brief abstract:

Influence diffusion models are used for simulating information propagation in social networks. It is an important problem for many application domains, including viral marketing, misinformation detection and political campaign. In this talk, I will introduce different influence diffusion modelling approaches, including traditional probabilistic approaches, agent-based approaches and an LLM based approach we recently proposed.
